We have had the privilege of hosting mini weaving workshops for small groups of adults and community events and of course many children’s weaving workshops! We provide a simple custom ply loom, needles, threads (both vintage and new) and everything you need to complete our weaving project.
‘weaving 3 ways’ – leave it on our timber loom, or hang weaving on a branch, or plait ends and wear as a striking wrist wrap.
‘mini log weaving’ – using our unique cut-log looms learn the beginning techniques of weaving and weave a striking work of art for display.
We have thoroughly enjoyed teaching beginners crochet to adults.
We designed a simple + striking necklace we believe to be the perfect beginner project – learning how to hold the crochet hook and chain stitch can be one of the more difficult details to get your head around as a beginner!
With custom designed, step-by-step instructions we lead you through the process, learning chain, single + double crochet, slip stitch and crocheting a round.
The necklace is a striking addition to your wardrobe and you are well on your way to becoming a crochet-lover!
The small group atmosphere is often half the fun – learning a new skill together!
PARENT AND CHILD WORKSHOPS
We have loved including parents in our creative journey with their children – in particular, learning + helping with skills that they can encourage alongside!
We run a parent + child beginner’s knitting class during the winter term. Using soft tactile wools and big chunky timber knitting needles, we created a small square of garter stitch knitting to stylishly cozy your glass for hot chocolate!
We also encourage parent collaboration with Christmas creativity, in classes such as ‘weaving a natural christmas wreath’ and upcoming leather + ply ornament classes.
